What is Happening Now
When it opens in 2024, Thomas Toy Community Center will serve as a safe place for the youth in our community to come together, learn and have fun. We are located at 602 East Yosemite Avenue. This location has a long history of serving the community starting out as the Manteca News and then hosting several non-profits over the years such as Calvery Chapel, Inner City Action, Manteca Gospel Resue Mission, and Give Every Child A Chance.
Thanks so much to the donors listed below, for donating their time, materials and equipment! We are so blessed by the generosity of so many to help us bring Thomas Toy Community Center to our city!
Taking Shape
There is a lot happening at the center. It all began with demolition of the space down to the studs, our scripture writing campaign, and then all the work by contractors listed above to make it what is right now! Check back to see all the progress until opening day!
The Foundation
The renovation is made possible by our generous and talented donners. A big thank you to API and Waleed & Maria & Associates Inc for donating their time and expertise to create the blueprints.
Raising The Future
It is an exciting time around Thomas Toy Community Center as the process of building begins. The first wall of the remodel has risen giving way for the new stairs for the emergency exit. This new stairwell is just one of many updates being made to make this a safe place for our youth.
Rolling It In
We have a new rollup door generously donated and installed by Cassle Doors. This door will not only help during construction but will allow us to bring the outside in.
A Fresh New Look
A big thank you to Innercity Action as they start the demolition and make way for big changes.
Plumbing
The plumbing is going in. We will have 5 toilets downstairs instead of just 2. A big thank you to Humphreys Plumbing for putting in the plumbing.

A New Roof
Lots of attention has gone into creating a warm dry safe space
