The Teen Social Impact Award recognizes outstanding teens who have made a measurable difference in their community through service, leadership, and innovation. Nominate a deserving candidate by following the steps below.

Nomination guidelines

• Who can be nominated? Any teen (grades 7th–12th) whose actions have positively impacted individuals at home, school, or in the community is eligible. Nominees must exemplify strong character traits such as caring, respect, and responsibility.

• Who can nominate? A nomination can be submitted by teachers, counselors, coaches, youth leaders, pastors, and other non-related individuals.

• Deadline: All nominations must be submitted by Thursday, October 23rd by 6pm.

How to submit a nomination

A compelling nomination tells a story with specific, concrete examples to show why your nominee is exceptional. The selection committee wants to understand what makes your nominee stand out from others.

1. Compose your nomination statement. In your statement, include the following details:

   • Introduction: Begin with a strong opening that clearly states why your candidate should receive the award.

   • Specific examples: Provide concrete examples of the nominee's accomplishments. Detail what they did, how they did it, and the initiative they showed. Instead of simply saying the nominee "did a good job," describe their actions and what inspired them.

   • Measurable impact: Quantify their contributions whenever possible. For example, mention how many hours they volunteered or how many people were helped. If the impact is not easily quantifiable, use qualitative examples, such as testimonials from community members.

   • Supporting details: Include any challenges the nominee overcame and how their work has created lasting results.

   • Concluding summary: End with a concise statement that reinforces your nominee's outstanding qualities.

2. Gather supporting documents. To strengthen your nomination, you may include:

   • A completed nomination form.

   • Testimonials or letters of support from teachers, community partners, or beneficiaries.

   • Relevant supporting materials, such as news clippings, photos, or links to blogs/websites.
